Today has been a historic day for Merrow CC - we fielded an all girls team for the first time in our lengthy history. We entered an U11 & U13 SmashIt league this season, and today was the first triangular tournament against Blackheath and Cranleigh.
Playing our first game was exciting and nervy but Merrow U11 ran out winners in the first (ever) game against Blackheath U11 in a very close match. Our second game against Cranleigh was equally tight, but Cranleigh ran out winners.
I am really proud of the girls, parents and the club who have all contributed to this event.

Rose T, Rose H, Emily, Carissa, Daisy, Lola, Tamsin, Isla, Emma, Olivia and Scarlett - you are history makers.
