About Merrow Cricket Club

Merrow Cricket Club (established in 1857) is a family club based in the heart of Guildford in beautiful Surrey. We have teams that play both league cricket and friendly fixtures. Our Saturday adult sides play in the Surrey Championship and the Fullers Leagues. Additionally, we operate a thriving Sunday league team, pulling from established players, but also promoting the involvement of Colts to help their development and experience.

To support players, we hold Adult training both in winter and summer. From January to March, we hold training on Friday evenings. During the summer, we hold outdoor training on Wednesday evenings.

Merrow Cricket Club is lucky to have one of the biggest Colts and Juniors sections in the County, with flourishing numbers in both Minis and Colts. Our coaching staff have been through the required ECB training, as well as hold the relevant background checks. We pride ourselves on being a family club, where children's passion for sport and cricket can be nurtured. Children of all abilities are welcome, and our structured sessions aim to promote enjoyment and participation, irrespective of experience. We hold indoor training sessions on Sunday afternoons from January to March for U13s and under, and Friday training sessions for U14s and above. During the summer months, we hold Saturday morning training sessions at the Merrow ground.

Whilst cricket is the focus for our club, we also have a vibrant social side. From BBQs to quiz evenings, through to Merrow’s Cricket Week, you are sure of a warm welcome.
